Membership in Berkeley Yacht Club is open to anyone interested in boating and related activities. You do not need to be a boat owner to join. We currently have approximately 250 memberships across several categories.

The spectrum of member interests includes both local and long-distance cruising and racing as well as social activities. Sail, power, and non-boat owners participate in an extensive series of social activities, races, cruises, and educational seminars. Members with boats frequently include members without boats on impromptu afternoon sails to nearby anchorages. It is expected that everybody will pitch in on work parties to do routine maintenance and occasional larger scale projects.
