On October 7, November 4, December 2, January 6, February 3 and March 2 (first Sunday of every month) there will be a separate start for the SF-25 Class.

All boats 24-25 ft LOA and base PHRF rating 159-168 are eligible. This includes J-24, Merit 25, Olson 25 and Capri 25 one-design classes that are sailing in compliance with PHRF certificates for the base rating.

The SF-25 start is scheduled for 12:55 pm, five minutes ahead of the Chowder Race Fleet start scheduled for 1:00 pm. .

Scoring shall be boat-for-boat, with no handicap adjustment and no allowance for roller furling or non-spinnaker.

If there are three or fewer boats in the SF-25 start, competitors may abandon the SF-25 start and race in the main Chowder Race Fleet PHRF division.

If there is a general recall for the SF-25 start, the SF-25 class shall restart five minutes after the final Chowder Race Fleet start, including Chowder Race Fleet recalled and re-started starts.

If there is a postponement to the starting sequence, the SF-25 class shall start five minutes after the final Chowder Race Fleet start, including Chowder Race Fleet recalled and re-started starts.

The timing and order of restarts after recalls or postponements may be changed by the RC, and will be announced via VHF 71.
