WHEN?
Every Friday from March 30 through September 28
WHAT TIME?
Starts at 6:35, 6:45 and 6:55
HOW MUCH?
No entry fee, but a PHRF rating is recommended
TO ENTER:
Deliver or mail the entry form to the Berkeley Yacht
Club before 6:00 PM on or before the first day you would like to race.
Only one entry is required for all 25 races.
Attach a copy of your PHRF handicap certificate (available from the
Yacht Racing Association of San Francisco Bay
- 415-771-9500).
Rating certificates for identical boats may also be
acceptable, or you may be able to race on a provisional basis with Race
Committee approval. You must submit an entry form. Yachts that are not
entered are requested to stay clear of the starting area and course.
There are rating credits for boats racing without
spinnakers (18 sedoncs/mile) and with roller-furling jibs (12 seconds/mile).
NEED CREW?
Extra crew (often very experienced) are usually available at the
Cal Sailing Club
or at
Berkeley Yacht Club
shortly before each race.
NEED A BOAT?
Racing skippers looking for crew can usually be
found at the Berkeley Yacht Club guest dock shortly before each
race.
