A New Roof Over our Heads—Waiting for the Gulls to Roost

By Vice Commodore Mary Garfein

The Gulls are roosting on the roof. So, the roof is not getting replaced until the babies are hatched and fledged. This will likely take another 4 to 6 weeks. Once we get started, we anticipate construction will last three weeks.

Once we begin construction, the roofers will be working weekdays until 5 pm for approximately two weeks. During construction there will be noise and dust and some other inconveniences. There will be periods when the front door will be inaccessible. Please use the side door and make sure it is closed behind you. We appreciate your patience during this time.

Perfect, I was hoping there would be 5 or 6 more gulls to s**t all over my boat next year!
