Summer 2024 Cruises

MONTHLY CRUISES GOING STRONG

On the last weekend of almost every month we’re having an overnight cruise to Clipper Cove for Saturday night, with Friday nights optional. There’s no need to sign up, no need to worry about where the location is, or what time to show up—actually, you still need to check the tides to safely navigate into the anchorage. We’ll always be in the southwest corner of the cove, flying our BYC burgees. Clipper Cove is the closest destination to our club and takes about an hour for most vessels, from slipping your dock lines to dropping your anchor.

In April, we had three BYC boats and we were joined by two boats from the Washed Up Yacht Club, for a most pleasant weekend.

The weather was bright and sunny during the day. Some wind threatened us late Saturday, but we woke up to an amazing calm day on Sunday and the beginning of no-jacket- required weather!

Join us in June – because the May outing is being replaced with a cruise to Petaluma Yacht Club.

PETALUMA YACHT CLUB: MAY 24 TO 27

Petaluma Yacht Club is located right in the heart of historic downtown Petaluma, a wonderful place to visit. This year the theme is "Hooray for Hollywood."

Hollywood Classic Cocktail Contest! Breakfasts at Tiffany's on Saturday and Sunday!Charlie Chaplin Walk of Fame Poker Walk! Red Carpet Costume Contest!

Gourmet Dinner Saturday night at Casablanca's Cafe Americain!Lights, Camera, Showtime — Comedy and Karaoke!Hunger Games on Sunday! And more in this full-length feature extravaganza!

Sign up with Petaluma here by May 20, (it’s $85), and let our own crew know you're going by signing up here.

ST. FRANCIS YACHT CLUB: AUGUST 9-11

Since you can’t plan too far ahead, we already committed our date this year to cruise-in to St. Francis Yacht Club. For those who missed last year’s event, check out the write-up in last December’s NHT. Thank you Zara!

For those who aren’t aware, they don’t subscribe to the PICYA reciprocation process so unless you know a member, or race in one of their regattas, an organized cruise-in is the only way to visit the club. They may have a few extra rules, but the seafood buffet is worth it.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

Cruising Committee Meeting: May 15, 7pmVolunteers needed! We can help with guides on how to lead a cruise, plus we have a well curated list of almost 30 to choose from in Cruising Destinations.
