Celebrate the Chinese Lunar Year 2023 with a Dragon Boat Experience

With the Berkeley Civic Arts Commission as a major sponsor, BRCC and guests will celebrate the Lunar New Year at Berkeley Yacht Club. Your team-mates will stage a lion dance, demonstrate Lunar New Year cooking, teach ceremonial paper folding, sing traditional songs, cook special Lunar New Year dumplings, present the history of ancient Chinese maritime technology, and, best of all, invite your friends and neighbors out on our boats to experience the speed and power of a dragon boat first-hand.

Please add your name to the list of volunteers helping with food, music, martialling, paddling, steering, and random cat-herding as needed. We have two steerspeople signed up, and would like at least two more so we can keep the steering shifts short and enjoy the land-side activities.
