Summer has coming roaring in. Our Friday night racing is in full swing with Chef Pat cooking up some fine BBQ. If you are joining us for dinner Friday night, please RSVP so we can plan food to ensure we have enough for everyone and to minimize the waste. A huge shout out to Judy Lee and Dee Hubert for helping with the planning and shopping for Friday nights.
Thank you also to our Officers of the Day who serve on Friday nights and during other large events. We can't put these on without you and the other volunteers.
The Officer of the Day program has been flourishing. We have had lots of projects completed with the many willing and able helping hands. And, lots of fun in the club. Thank you to Felipe Ulloa for putting on the felt chair and table tips -- and for providing snacks on a Sunday afternoon. And, to Delfina and Brooks Geiken for adding a little music to a Sunday afternoon. And, to Kevin Mullally and Paolo Calafiura for cleaning up the upstairs office.
Members are the lifeblood of our club and we gain new members every month. We are planning to celebrate our new members at an upcoming event. Look out for more details later in the summer. Unfortunately, we lose members at a similar rate. Please let me know if you are interested in working with our Membership Team to help bring and keep members in our club.
From the parties we throw and the races we run, to the clubhouse we maintain and the friendly spirit that greets you when you come to hang out or attend an event, there is a lot of things for us all to do. None of it is possible without volunteers. A great big thank you to those who help out.
