A New Roof Over our Heads—Fledglings are Learning to Fly

By Vice Commodore Mary Garfein

It is with great sadness that I need to report that one of the baby gulls has passed.

It is with great gladness that I am able to report that the remaining fledgling is getting ready to take flight. Construction of the new roof is currently slotted for the end of September. I hope to have a more precise update next month. Once we get started, we anticipate construction will last three weeks.

Once we begin construction, the roofers will be working weekdays until 5:00pm for approximately two weeks. During construction there will be noise and dust and some other inconveniences. There will be periods when the front door will be inaccessible. Please use the side door and make sure it is closed behind you. We appreciate your patience during this time.

While we continue to wait on the new roof, we continue to make minor improvements around the club. Please reach out if you see something that needs to be fixed, could be upgraded or should be replaced!
