We have had a lot of sailing around the Bay, out of the Bay and around the world. With the summer winds blowing like stink, its a great time to be a sailor on San Francisco Bay.
In July, Sail GP Season 4 grand finale was held in San Francisco where Spain defeated both New Zealand and Australia.
PacCup is in full swing with many of our members and friends braving some strong winds in the Pacific.
And now we have the Olympics: Skiffs, multihulls, windsurfers and kites. The medal rounds start on August 1st. The Olympic website does a great job describing each sailing event.
Many of our members are out visiting many different parts of the world, enjoying all sorts of history, culture, food and sailing. We encourage you all to write of story of your adventures for publication in the Now Here This. Glen and I will be heading to Europe for a Rhine River Cruise. We will let you know all about it next month!
From the parties we throw, the cruises we plan and the races we run, to the clubhouse we maintain and the friendly spirit that greets you when you come to hang out or attend an event, there is a lot of things for us all to do. None of it is possible without volunteers. A great big thank you to those who help out.
We hope to see you around the club, enjoying everything your membership has to offer.
