I am pleased to announce that we have hired a new General Manager: Elizabeth Zalstein. Elizabeth brings a wealth of experience from the service industry and a can do attitude. Many of you met her at the Old Salts Dinner -- she jumped in to help the Board serve the Old Salts. She has also been seen around the club on Friday nights.
We invite everyone to stop by the office to welcome Elizabeth to the Berkeley Yacht Club. And, again, thanks for everyone's patience while we all worked through this change.
Now that we have a new manager, it is time to start looking for a new Board. Please reach out to me if you are interested in serving on the Board next year. We are looking for a Secretary, Treasurer, Port Captain and Rear Commodore (ladder position).
From the parties we throw and the races we run, to the clubhouse we maintain and the friendly spirit that greets you when you come to hang out or attend an event, there is a lot of things for us all to do. None of it is possible without volunteers. A great big thank you to those who help out.
We hope to see you around the club, enjoying everything your membership has to offer.
