BYC Attends Berkeley Bay Festival

ree

Berkeley Yacht Club was proud to take part in this year’s Bay Festival, a free, family-focused event celebrating the Bay’s vibrant ecosystem and the people who help protect it. With over 30 environmental and conservation organizations participating, the festival was the perfect place for the club to connect with the community and share its love for sailing and stewardship of the Bay.

Thanks to the efforts of some dedicated volunteers, Berkeley Yacht Club hosted a membership outreach table throughout the day. Membership Chair and Board Director, Phil Strause, kicked things off by setting up the booth, creating a welcoming and informative space for visitors to learn more about the club. Kimber Oswald, V/C Roger Mason and his son Marcellus, Steve Rosing, and Amanda Lai all generously gave their time and energy to engage with festival-goers, answer questions, and share stories about sailing and life at the club.

The event was a great opportunity to introduce the club’s mission to a wider audience and highlight its commitment to community involvement and environmental awareness. The volunteers’ warmth and enthusiasm left a lasting impression, and the club looks forward to welcoming some new faces as a result of their efforts.
