Pursuant to Section XI of the BYC House Rules And Policies, any motion to amend the house rules will be postponed until the first regular board meeting following notice of the proposed change in the Now Hear This.
At June’s Board Meeting, the Board of Directors moved to make a change to the first sentence of Section 3.C.1. of our House Rules and Policies, to clarify the nature of events that Members can host for free at the club.
Section 3.C.1 currently reads: Members may have non-exclusive use of the Club without fee for events attended by up to 25 people, provided there is no conflict with previously scheduled events.
The Board’s proposed change to the first sentence of Section 3.C.1 will read: Members may have non-exclusive use of the Club without fee for social events attended by up to 25 people, provided there is no conflict with previously scheduled events.
The intent of the change is to prohibit Members from using the club to host regular Member affiliated business meetings in the club that are not social in nature.
